Suzanne Andrews, Camp Director
Received her Bachelors degree in Community Health from Texas A&M University in 1994 and her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy in 2003. She currently works as an occupational therapist on the spinal cord injury and amputee teams at Memorial Hermann | TIRR in the Texas Medical Center and has been employed with them for 10 years. Suzanne has served on numerous planning committees for disabled sports events and has worked at camps for children with disabilities for 15 years. Suzanne currently serves as a Captain on the Special Children's Committee of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She has been a coordinator for Camp Xtreme since it began in 1999 and became Camp Director in 2006. Suzanne lives in Pearland, Texas.
Genny Marshall, Assistant Camp Director
Genny is originally from Schertz, Texas and graduated from Texas State University in 2005 with a Bachelors degree in Recreation Administration. Genny is currently working as a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist at Memorial Hermann | TIRR and became their Adaptive Sports Coordinator in 2006. She is the assistant coach for the TIRR Hotwheels Junior Wheelchair Basketball team in Houston, Texas and is also a Class I Quad Rugby referee. Genny was involved with Camp Xtreme beginning in 2005 as the staff coordinator and will now take on the role of Assistant Director. In her free time, Genny enjoys playing softball and golf.
Christopher Newman, Events Coordinator
Received his Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1996 and went on to complete his Masters degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2001. Christopher has worked as a physical therapist within the Memorial Hermann | TIRR System for 6 years and is currently working in Acute Inpatient Rehab. Christopher has been involved in planning committees of numerous wheelchair sports events and is also a Class I Quad Rugby Classifier. Christopher has been involved with camps for children of all abilities for ten years and has been involved with Camp Xtreme since 2000. His primary responsibility at camp includes evening activities and special events. Christopher lives with his wife and daughter in Pearland, Texas.
Eric Lantz, Events Coordinator
Eric is a wheelchair user himself, after a spinal cord injury at the T5 level in 1989. He received his Bachelors degree in Community Health from Texas A&M is 1995 and went on to receive another Bachelors degree in Occupational therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1999. Eric has been able to use his own life experiences to better treat patients on the spinal cord injury team at Memorial Hermann | TIRR as an occupational therapist since 2002. Prior to that, he worked as a seating and mobility specialist and has worked at summer camps for children with disabilities for several summers. Eric has been involved with Camp Xtreme since 2003 and will take on the role of coordinating the daily sports and activities. Eric once competed in wheelchair tennis and basketball and is currently active in other adaptive recreation, including camping, waterskiing, handcycling and kayaking. Eric, Brenda, and their daughter Alyssa live in Houston, Texas.
