
Eric, a wheelchair user himself, after a spinal cord injury in 1989; he received his Bachelors degree in Community Health from Texas A&M in 1995 and went on to receive another Bachelors degree in Occupational therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in 1999. Eric has been able to use his own life experiences to better treat patients on the spinal cord injure team at TIRR Memorial Hermann as an occupational therapist since 2002. Prior to that he worked as a seating and mobility specialist and has worked at summer camp for children with disabilities for several summers. Eric has been involved with Camp Xtreme since 2003 as the sports and activities coordinator and will not take on the role of Co-Director this year. Eric once competed in wheelchair tennis and basketball and is currently active in other adaptive recreation. Including camping, waterskiing, handcycling, and kayaking. Eric, Brenda, and their daughter Alyssa live in Houston TX.
